Entry 055: Boyfriend Jeans & Button Ups

“Reinvent new combinations of what you already own. Improvise. Become more creative. Not because you have to, but because you want to. Evolution is the secret for the next step.” Karl Lagerfeld

Creating great looks without having to go shopping is both a money and time saver!  I am striving to not purchase many new things this season, as I really don’t need anything and I am saving to move. I just purged four closets of clothing and shoes and will be giving away those pieces to my Church and a few people I know. It’s important to give back whenever possible. I try to be a blessing to others because I know what it’s like to struggle. I am creating new looks with things that I’ve already worn. There is so much you can do with the clothing you already have and if you’re like me; you have a lot to choose from. The more you can do with your pieces, the better. I have worn these boyfriend jeans a few ways and I love that I can dress them up or down.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello fashionistas!

I love blogging and sharing with you, my looks and life experiences. I took some time away to get my house in order (literally and figuratively). I removed a lot of clutter from my life on many levels and am now feeling like I can conquer the world with a clear mind. It’s always a good idea to do some purging in your life to help make room for the more important things. I’m on a journey and things are coming to pass that I didn’t think were even possible.

Now, on to the fashion of this post! I am challenging myself this season by not shopping too much and attempting to wear all the things that I have currently, in my wardrobe. You may see some new pieces, but for the most part, there will be a lot of vintage pieces in upcoming posts. There’s nothing better than being able to create great looks with what you already own. I got these floral high waisted pants and top from Zara in May and wore it right before the weather got hot. I love it so much that I thought about the different ways I could style them separately. I can think of several ways to style these two pieces, but for starters, I decided to style them with denim and chambray for the fall.

Thanks for stopping by!

Entry 041: A Little Country…A Little Rock & Roll Ft. KTR Collection

Motorcycle Jacket || KTR Collection Dress (Similar Styles HERE)|| Nude Pumps

Let me tell you about the designer of the dress I’m wearing…about two years ago, I stumbled upon an Instagram page of a beautiful blogger and designer by the name of KTR. I was immediately intrigued by her beauty and impeccable style! In love with her designs, I purchased my first custom piece (not this dress). The attention to detail and the femininity of her clothing is to die for! I love that she has an old Hollywood glamour feel to each and everything she designs. She always makes such exquisite clothing and I found myself coming back for more. I’ve had this dress for over one year, but never got the opportunity to wear  it until now. This is a website that you MUST visit because this dress is just the tip of the iceberg! I love when I stumble upon greatness! Because she doesn’t make a truck load of the same thing, it almost feels like it’s exclusive, but like many fashionistas, I have purchased quite a few pieces from her collection and can’t wait to purchase more!

Entry 034: Trend Report! On The Fringe

Sometimes, you don’t need much to accessorize an outfit. The simplest things can make your look pop! Fringes are a favorite for me! For the past few seasons, fringes have been a staple in fashion and this season is no exception. I’ve been seeing fringes all over the place! On bags, shoes clothing and other accessories. Here are a few of my favorite pieces! I’ll be doing a whole post dedicated to how to sport your favorite looks with fringes added!

Entry 019: Leopard, The Ultimate Neutral!

Blazers hold a special place in my heart…I know, I know, it’s not quite fall, but it was raining today (any excuse to put on a blazer). I didn’t feel like being exposed, so the perfect piece of clothing to cover up is a blazer! You’ve got to pay attention to detail when wearing prints such as leopard, as they can be overwhelming and can sometimes be worn inappropriately. Everyone knows I love leopard printed pieces and mixing patterns and prints. Leopard is ultimate neutral and can be paired with other prints and solids. If done right, you can really create a bold, groundbreaking look (I will be doing a post on mixing prints soon).decided to pair it with some basic blue skinny jeans and a tank top since it was a casual Friday! I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoy the week ahead! Thanks for stopping by! XOXOIMG_2416-1.JPG

Today was a rather warm day here in New Jersey and I had some running around to do; so I decided to go for my favorite boyfriend jeans. I really love the comfort of these boyfriend jeans. You can wear them up or down; with shoes, booties or sneakers. I love clothing that is functional and can be worn many different ways. Today, was a casual day for me so jeans and a t-shirt with these eye catching booties were a go! Thanks for stopping by! Until next time…XOXO

Entry 007: Over The Knee For Fall

20131114-172417.jpg
It was a very cool fall day in NJ and I’m heading into NYC for some fun! I’m so glad it’s the season for OTKB! I paired my Steve Madden boots (circa 2010) with some high waisted jeans and an oversized sweatshirt for a cool look. I didn’t want to be overly dressed for hanging out.

Entry 003: Summer Meets Fall

DSCF1142DSCF1138DSCF1125 DSCF1124 DSCF1121DSCF1179Today was a beautiful day in my town, so I decided to take a ride to the park and take in the nice weather. I always loved the fall season because it’s the best time to layer and play with different seasons. I love this dress so much and I wasn’t quite ready to put it away, so I paired it with a Chambray shirt and ankle booties from Zara. I hope you all had a wonderful day! Until next time…
